The Reserve Program, established in 1972, is comprised of citizens willing to dedicate a minimum of 16 hours a month to assist our full-time sworn officers with local events, special activities and patrol. All Reserve applicants must be able to meet and pass the following requirements:
Citizen of the United States of America
Background Investigation
Polygraph examination
Psychological Evaluation
Physical Agility Test
No convictions for DUI and no loss of drivers license
No felony convictions
No use of dangerous narcotic drugs
Reserve Officers participate in regularly scheduled departmental training for firearms, first aid/CPR, Emergency Vehicle Operation (EVOC), and defensive tactics. In addition, there is in-service training scheduled during reserve meetings that are held twice a month. Minimum training amounts are required to maintain certification as a reserve officer.
Reserve applications can be picked up at the Pasco Police Records counter located at 525 N. Third Avenue (Second Floor).
