How can I find out what the Planning Commission will be discussing? The Agendas and Planning Commission Packets are posted on our website under Meetings and Agendas. Sometimes agenda items include citywide Planning Projects and may be posted in more detail at this link.
How may I speak before the Planning Commission? Do I need to fill out a form? No. Simply attend the meeting and step forward to speak when the item is called. Please Note the following:
For Public Hearings--Public comment is accepted and encouraged for Public Hearings, when items are first brought before the Planning Commission. This is the time designated for public input when findings of fact are gathered.
When you are invited to speak, step forward to the podium, state your name and home address for the record, and speak clearly into the microphone. Please be courteous and make your comments brief and to the point (no more than 3-5 minutes).
For Public Meetings--Public comment is not generally accepted for Public Meetings, as these items were typically brought before the public in the previous Planning Commission meeting. This is the time designated for Planning Commission deliberation on the item.
