Adopt-A-Park’s Mission
Enhance community involvement, pride and ownership through the general care, maintenance and beautification of the City of Pasco Parks & trails.
Leave a Mark - Adopt-A-Park!
The Adopt-A-Park program provides opportunities for individuals and groups to help improve and maintain the City of Pasco Parks and trails. As volunteer stewards, you will have a unique opportunity to enjoy the results of your hard work.
You can help enhance and maintain our public parks and trails by picking up litter, pulling and raking leaves, sweeping courts and walkways, planting trees, reporting park hazards and other projects. Your volunteer efforts in our parks and on our trails increases public awareness of the importance of protecting our resources; generates pride in our park system, and demonstrates a commitment to your community. As a group or business, you can create a better environment for yourself and the next generation.
How Can You Adopt A Park?
Your or your group can adopt a park or portion of a trail by volunteering.
All you need to do is:
1. Complete an application. You will then be contacted by a City of Pasco representative. Our staff will work with you to identify the project(s) that will provide the greatest benefit to the park and/or trail.
2. Once the “adoption” is approved, you’re ready to start. A City of Pasco representative will be available to help you with questions and concerns, and will see to it that the Adopt-A-Park signage is displayed, reflecting your groups commitment.
3. I can’t make a long term commitment. Can I still volunteer?
Absolutely! The City of Pasco Administrative and Community Services sponsors a number of special volunteer events which you can participate in. These include one-time clean-up projects, plantings and trail maintenance projects.
