To request Public Records please use this form.
Any person wishing to request access to public records of the City, or seeking assistance in making such a request should contact the office of the City Clerk - Public Records Officer.
The public records officer or designee and the City will provide the "fullest assistance" to requestors; ensure that public records are protected from damage or disorganization; and prevent fulfilling public records requests from causing excessive interference with essential functions of the City.
The Public Records Act, RCW 42.56, provides that a number of document types and information are prohibited from being disclosed or are exempt from public inspection and copying. A current list of these prohibitions and exemptions will be provided upon request.
Public records are available for inspection and copying during normal business hours of the City, Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., excluding legal holidays. Records must be inspected at the office of the City Clerk at City Hall.
Washington State law, RCW 42.17.260(9)/42.56.070(9), prohibits the use of public record lists of individuals for commercial purposes.
