Water Distribution
The Water Distribution Division is responsible for maintaining and repairing the City’s domestic water supply system. Common issues dealt with by this division include: water main breaks, water leaks between the street and meter, reduced water pressure, water meter installations and repairs; and works in concert with the Water Treatment Plant to maintain water quality.
City Supplied Irrigation Water
The Irrigation Division is responsible for maintaining and repairing the City’s irrigation water supply system. Issues for this division include irrigation water main breaks, leaks, and reduced irrigation pressure.
Water Protection/Cross Connection
Federal Laws and Washington State Regulations require the City’s Cross Connection Division be responsible for protecting the City’s domestic water supply from possible contamination, and to investigate possible contamination sources. The most common possible contamination is when domestic water is used for landscape irrigation.
Streets/Storm Drains
The Streets/Storm Drain Division is responsible for the maintenance of City streets, signs and storm drains. Common work performed includes: filling potholes, replacing damaged street signs, street sweeping, snow removal and anti-icing (on predetermined routes), and storm drain flooding.
Sewer Back Ups/Sewer Main Lines
The Sewer Collections Division maintains the City’s sewer mainlines. Common work done by this division includes sewer mainline cleaning, inspection, and responding to sewer backup calls, which involves the City’s sewer main lines.
