Chiawana Park Lease SigningWednesday, January 09, 2008 ![]() The City of Pasco and the Walla Walla District, U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, will finalize a lease for operation of Chiawana Park on Thursday, January 10. The City of Pasco will assume full operation of the park and approximately 2 miles of paved path that serves more than 250,000 visitors each year. Chiawana Park and the Columbia River shoreline offer Tri-City residents and visitors nearly 150 acres of shady lawn for relaxation and bright, sunny paved paths for walking, running or cycling along the river. The park offers a variety of facilities including several group picnic shelters, horseshoe pits, a playground, two restroom facilities, a boat ramp, two courtesy boat docks, ample parking and room to roam. The picnic shelters may be reserved for group functions for a small fee by contacting the City of Pasco Recreation Department at (509) 545-3456. The park paths and boat ramp are accessible year round. Other facilities are open seasonally from about April 1 through September 30.
