The executive department provides general administrative oversight of the city organization to assure efficient and effective delivery of municipal services consistent with City Council policy and directives. The City Manager also oversees all personnel matters and external communications for the organization.

About Pasco's City Manager
Gary has pursued a career in local government for nearly 40 years. After six years as an Assistant Planner in the Seattle area, he has spent 34 years in Pasco, the first six as Community Development Director and the past 28 as City Manager. Gary has been recognized many times over the years for his leadership, receiving the “Pathfinder” Award from the Washington Research Council in 1996; “Outstanding Support” Award from the Southeast Washington Association of School Districts in 2003; and, most recently, the “Sam Volpentest Leadership” Award in 2009.
