The City of Pasco charges per 100 cubic foot (748 gallons) of water plus a base fee
748 US Gallon of water = 100 cubic feet of water
Usage in cubic feet divided by 100 = billable usage x current rate (example: 500 cubic feet/100 = 5 units billable)
TOILET
Toilet water use can vary significantly. Older models can use about .40 cubic feet (3 gallons) of water per flush and new toilets use approximately .21 cubic feet (1.6 gallons) per flush. If one person flushes 6 times a day it will use approximately 1.3 to 2.4 cubic feet (9.6 to 18 gallons) or 38.5 to 72 cubic feet per month (288 to 540 gallons).
SHOWER
A ten-minute shower uses approximately 3 to 5 cubic feet of water (20 to 40 gallons) depending on the showerhead.
BATHTUB
A ¾ full bathtub is approximately 4.8 cubic feet of water (36 gallons).
LAUNDRY
Conventional top-loading washing machines with center-post agitators can use up to about 5.4 cubic feet (40 gallons) of water per load.
DISHWASHER
1.3 cubic feet (10 gallons) of water, energy-saving models use .6 cubic feet (3-5 gallons).
WASHING HANDS FOR 20 SECONDS
0.4 cubic feet (1.04 gallons). Washing your hands 3 times per day each month would use 12.5 cubic feet (94 gallons) of water.
HOSE
A hose running full for one minute = approximately 3 cubic feet of water (23 gallons) Hose running full for 60 minutes = approximately 184 cubic feet (1380 gallons) Hose running full for 3 hours = approximately 554 cubic feet (4140 gallons)
POOL
