City Council District 6 Vacancy
The Pasco City Council is actively seeking eligible registered voters residing in City Council District 6 to apply for the Council seat following the resignation of Councilmember Craig Maloney.
Appointment Details
The Council is committed to making an appointment in October ensure effective governance and community representation. The successful appointee will fill the District 6 vacancy until the conclusion of the current term, which expires on December 31, 2025.
Requirements for the Vacancy:
To be eligible for consideration, applicants must meet the following criteria:
- Must be an adult resident of Pasco for at least one year.
- Must be a registered voter residing in District 6 (you can check your district using the locator tool here).
Application Process
Interested individuals can submit their applications in one of two ways:
- In-person: Applications are available at the City Manager’s office, or by download here.
- Online: Submit your application here for consideration by the City Council.
Applications are due by Friday, September 22, at 5 p.m.
Interview Process
After the application deadline, the City Council anticipates interviews on October 2, with the number of candidates for interview to be determined. Those selected will receive further details about interview arrangements. The interviews will be conducted at the City Council meeting, open to both the public and media. All application materials will be regarded as public information and may be disclosed upon request.
