Pasco Municipal Court recognizes the importance of treating individuals appearing before the court in a fair and impartial manner. This ensures that everyone, to the extent possible, feels as though they have truly had their day in court, whether the matter to be heard is civil or criminal in nature.
Pasco Municipal is a court of limited jurisdiction created by statute. It has jurisdiction to hear:
- Misdemeanor criminal cases
- Traffic infractions
- Non-traffic infractions
- Parking tickets
- Photo Enforcement

- Small claim cases up to $5,000
- Anti-harassment orders
- Civil actions up to $75,000
- Name changes

- Petitions for protection orders requesting removal of a party from the family home or involving custody and visitation of children.
- Civil actions above $75,000
- Felonies
