The current service area of the Fire Department incorporates approximately 37 square miles with an additional seven square miles in the urban growth boundary. The city is sub-divided into three primary response areas (1 per station). Each primary response area is further divided into fire management zones primarily for dispatching and records management purposes.
The Fire Department operates two NFPA 1001 Type 1 engines, 1 Type 1 Ladder Truck, 2 Type 6 engines, 3 Type 2 advanced life support ambulances, 1 Type 2 water tender, 1 Type 4 light rescue truck, 2 Type 1 aircraft rescue and firefighting vehicles, and 1 Type 4 rescue boat. The fire department also maintains a Type 1 engine and 2 Type 2 ambulances in reserve status. The administrative staff operate 6 staff vehicles. The department also possesses a Mass Casualty trailer and Technical Rescue trailer both of which are located at Station 82.
