Mom’s & Son’s Night Out - Ladies it’s your turn to share a casually dressed, fun-filled evening with your little guy at the Pasco Ciyt Hall Activity Center. This year’s theme is "Sports Teams". The event will start with games, foods, fun, so come dressed in your favorite sports team attire! The evening will end with some dancing. Friday, February 7, 2020 - 6:45-9:00 pm. | February |
Pasco Jaycees’ Kids Easter Egg Hunt - Pasco Recreation Services is happy to be working with the Pasco Jaycees’ again this year to help them provide this wonderful family friendly event to the community. The event starts at 8:30 am with a pancake breakfast provided by the Lions Club. The breakfast is free for kids 12 and under and only $4 for all others. After breakfast you can visit community information booths, and participate in games. Then at 10 am the egg hunts will begin and will be followed by raffle and prize give-a-ways. Barn Burner, Tons of Truck & Car Show - The City of Pasco Recreation Services will be joining forces with the HAPO Center, Friends of Franklin Fire 3 and GNG Super Car Show to bring this huge community event to one location on one day. The event features family fun and activities, games, barbecue competition, Tons of Trucks, and a 100 plus car show. The fire department will have live demonstrations and activities for children to observe and participate in. It will be a full day of events, great music, food and a silent auction for the Friends of Fire 3. This event is free to the public and will be held at the HAPO Center, 6600 Burden Blvd in Pasco. Tri-Cities Geocoin Challenge - Taste of the Tri-Cities! You will find a fun-filled weekend of caching and camaraderie at this annual event. The challenge begins Saturday, June 23 at 8:00 am. Pasco’s Grand Old 4th of July Celebration - In keeping with Governor Jay Inslee’s phased in approach to re-opening Washington State, it is with regret that the Pasco City Council and staff have made the decision to cancel the 2020 Grand Old 4th of July Parade and the festivities surrounding the parade. The annual fireworks show is being postponed until a later date this year. Once an alternate date has been determined for the fireworks show, we will make an announcement. As difficult as this decision has been, Pasco Parks and Recreation Services has been working on alternative events to help celebrate the 4th of July. Pool Doggie Paddle -Wednesday, August 28, 2019 at Memorial Aquatic Park. 2020 Mt. Rainier Virtual Challenge - This 135-mile challenge will test you as an individual participant, or it can be as easy as a Sunday stroll for a team. Teams can consist of either 2, 3, or 4 people. You will have 30 days to complete this straight shot from the Tri-Cities to Mt. Rainier. Participants can choose between two main categories, Run/Walk or Multi-Sport. The Run or Walk category is just that, seeing how far and how often you can push yourself to reach the ultimate goal of 135 miles. The Multi-Sport category allows you to get there any way you want; you can choose to run, walk, swim, paddle, or bicycle your way to the finish. How you complete this event is up to you! All registrants will receive a short-sleeved cotton/poly t-shirt for entering the event. As a bonus, each participant will also receive a custom sticker highlighting their completion of the 135-mile challenge. For more information or to register, click here.

Tons of Trucks - Join us for this educational and family friendly event that triggers the imagination and gives children the opportunity to discover and explore possible future careers. The event will be held on the streets of downtown Pasco in conjunction with the Pasco Farmers Market and the Fiery Foods Festival. All Senior & CommUNITY Picnic - Enjoy good food, entertainment, community vendors and lots of fun at one of the largest events for senior citizens in the State of Washington. Pasco, Kennewick and Richland all take turns hosting this event. The 2019 event will be hosted by the City of Pasco at the HAPO Center (formerly TRAC) on Thursday, September 19th from 11 am -2 pm. Buttons go on sale August 1st and can be purchased at the Pasco 1st Avenue Center, Pasco Recreation Services Office, and the Kennewick & Richland Community Centers. 5K 101 - This 8 week program will offer weekly group workouts, coaching tips & training, registration for the 5K Lampson Cable Bridge Run, and a customized t-shirt. Drive-Thru Trunk-or-Treat - A FUN and SAFE Trunk or Treat is coming to Pasco! The City of Pasco Parks and Recreation is hosting their first annual drive-thru Trunk or Treat Saturday, October 31st from 3:30 to 5:30pm. Bring the kids out to the Sporting Complex off of Road 68, for a safe and fun drive thru Trunk or Treat. Brought to you by the City of Pasco, Gesa Credit Union, and local business partners. Click here to register the Driver of vehicle but please include the number of trunk or treaters. The Sporting Complex is located at 6520 Homerun Rd off Road 68. We ask you arrive here via Convention Place to Homerun Rd. We are looking for local businesses or community partners who would love to participate in Pasco's first annual Drive-Thru Trunk or Treat. 20 Day Virtual Challenge - Pasco Parks and Recreation brings you this 20 day virtual challenge, structured to get you going; to get you outside and have fun! Kids and adults alike will enjoy this fun, exciting and easy to accomplish challenge. Parents help your kids by creating a goals chart to help them see their progress. Or you can use the Run Sign Up online progress chart to help them see how far they've gone. Parents why not challenge your kids to seeing how much you can accomplish in 20 days. Here are the details of the event: · 20 Mile Run or Walk (this would be a total for the 20 days, so 1 mile per day) · 20 Mile Ride (this too would be a total for the 20 days, so 1 mile per day and can be accomplished by bicycle, skateboard, roller skates, roller blades, or scooter) · 20 Jumping Jacks (per day) · 20 Push-Ups (per day) · 20 Sit-Ups (per day) Keep in mind that nothing is mandatory, the hope is to have you spread out the activity throughout the day in order to complete the tasks. Pasco Winter Fest - Join our community as we celebrate the holidays with music, food, vendors and fun! Saturday, December 7, 2019 from 2-6 pm in Volunteer Park @ 1125 N 4th Avenue, Pasco. November 1-29 we will be hosting a food drive to support 2nd Harvest. Donate in person or monetarily online.
