509 Foot Care

Foot Care For Seniors Ages 60 and Over

  • Inspection of feet for early detection of corns, calluses, ingrown toenails and other minor foot problems.
  • Toenails trimmed and smoothed.
  • Application of lotion to relieve dryness.
  • Instruction for exercise and care of feet at home.
  • Referrals made to physicians as needed.
  • Care is provided by a Registered Nurse trained in foot care.
  • Diabetic and high risk clients are welcomed.

No fee is collected for these services, however donations are gladly accepted.

Funds for this program are administered by the Southeast Washington Office of Aging and Long Term Care. 509 Foot Care does not discriminate in providing services on the grounds of race, creed, color, religion, national origin, gender, age, marital status, or the presences of any sensory, mental, or physical handicap.


The Mid-Columbia Meals on Wheels Program offers home-delivered meals to eligible participants. Frozen meals are available for weekends and holidays for those who need them. For active adults, a noontime meal is available at 7 dining centers throughout the area. For more information regarding Meals on Wheels, call (509) 735-1911. Community funding sources for this program include the United Way, Aging & Long Term Care of Southeastern Washington, Yakama Nation Area Agency on Aging, and local grants and donations.

Need help preparing your 2021 income tax return?  Let the trained volunteers with AARP Tax Aid help. Tax Aid services are available on Tuesdays and Thursdays  from 9 am - 1 pm, a the Pasco City Hall Activity Center classroom located at 525 N. 3rd Ave.

Appointments are Required, No Walk-ins Allowed.

You need to bring government issued photo IDs and Social Security Cards for every person that will be on the return. Also, please bring ALL of your 2021 tax year tax return papers and both your 2020 & 2019 tax returns.

  • Taxpayers should plan to arrive 5-10 minutes prior to their appointment time.
  • Initial appointment will include completing a questionnaire and meeting with a tax counselor.
  • Tax preparation will be conducted after the taxpayer leaves and 
  • Taxpayer will be given a 2nd appointment date/time to return and review and sign their tax return

Additional Tax Aid sites are located in Kennewick, Pasco, Richland, and Burbank

Face coverings and social distancing are required at all AARP Tax Aid Sites. Please reschedule your appointment if you are experiencing any symptoms or have a known recent COVID-19 exposure.
