PLAYGROUND RIBBON CUTTING: The City Council and Park Board will be holding a Ribbon Cutting for the new playground located in the new park located on the corner of Three Rivers Drive and North Rd. 60. The event will take place this Saturday, June 11, at 12:00pm.

RESERVE A PICNIC SHELTER: Graduation and Summer Vacations are just around the corner. Reserve a picnic shelter today and enjoy the day at one of your local Pasco Parks. You can check availability and reserve your shelter online at OR you can come into the recreation office located at 525 N. 3rd Ave., Pasco.

FIREFIGHTERS SPECIAL NEEDS BENEFIT 5K FUN RUN: Join Your Local Pasco Firefighters in their effort to serve and help children and individuals throughout the Tri-Cities area. All Proceeds from the event will benefit the ARC of Tri-CIties. DAY/DATE/TIME: Saturday, June 11, Race Day Check-in begins at 7:00am and the Race begins at 9:00am. BATTLE OF THE BEASTS 3 ON 3 BASKETBALL TOURNAMENT – This tournament will take place in the Pasco Softball Complex parking lot. There are age divisions for 1st through grade through high school. The event also will feature a slam dunk contest, 3-point contest, free throw contest, and half-court shot contest. There will also be T-shirts for all participants. SUMMER CONCERT SERIES: Come join us on Thursdays throughout the summer from 6:30-8:00pm for some evening music in the park. Grab some food from the vendors, pull out your lawn chair and kick back to the sounds of summer. TRI-CITIES GEOCOIN CHALLENGE 2016 – MYSTERIES OF THE MID-COLUMBIA: It’s a modern day treasure hunt! During this event participants will travel around Pasco, Richland, Kennewick, and West Richland searching for geocaches. Once you have found all the geocaches and code words, present the completed entry form to receive the pieces or your GeoCoin. SECOND ANNUAL CARDBOARD REGATTA: Boaters and Engineers, put your creativity in gear, collect your cardboard and recyclables and start building your boat for this years cardboard regatta! This is an exciting and literal sink or swim event. Participants must build a boat with cardboard, duct tape, and recyclable material that holds 2-6 people and then race them across Memorial Pool. SWIM LESSON SESSION #1: Summer is here so its time to sign your child up for swim lessons! Registration for session #1begins June 16 for Pasco Residents and Jun 17 for all others. MEMORIAL POOL & AQUATIC PARK SEASON PASSES! Even though Memorial Pool and Aquatic Park is not yet open, summer is just around the corner and it is not to early to purchase your season pass. For a summer of fun enjoying the waterslides, kid’s pool, spray park, diving board, lap pool and more, stop by the Recreation Services Offices located in Pasco City Hall to purchase your pass today. PRE-GUARD PREP 1 – LIFEGUARDING TOMORROW: Thinking about becoming a lifeguard, but still too young? Get a taste of what lifeguarding is like by participating in Pre-guard Prep. RENT MEMORIAL POOL: If you have a large group (school, club, church, reunion, etc.) you may want to rent the whole facility and have Memorial Pool to yourselves. FOOT CARE FOR ADULTS: This program is designed to provide preventative maintenance and education to Franklin County and Burbank residents who are 60 years of age and older. Care is provided by a Registered Nurse. If an abnormality is detected, you will be referred to your physician or other social services organization. Call 509 545-3459 to see if you qualify for this program. AGES: 60 and older; DAY/DATE/TIME: Day/Date/Time Vary Call for appointment days and times; LOCATION: Pasco Senior Center; FEE: Donation; NOTE: Funds for the Franklin County and Burbank Foot Care program are administered by Southeast Washington Aging and Long Term Care. Those that do not qualify for this program may choose to participate in our fee based program, call the Pasco Senior Center at 509 545-3459 for more info.

SENIOR CENTER: Looking for a place to get out of the house, meet and socialize with others? Come to the Pasco Senior Center, we have all kinds of stuff to do, including billiards, pinochle, dominos, china painting, computer lab, wood carving and more! Open Monday thru Friday 8 am to 5 pm. The Pasco Senior Center is located at 1315 N. 7th Ave. in Pasco.

SENIOR CENTER BUILDING RENTALS: Looking for a great place to host your next event call the Pasco Senior Center at (509) 545-3459 for more information. We rent large and small rooms for meetings, parties or receptions.

HAPPY FEET - Free Foot Care (Donations Accepted)!: If you reside in Franklin County or Burbank and are over the age of 60 you might qualify for free foot care. (This program is funded by SE Washington Aging and Longer Term Care and Participant Donations). If you do not qualify for the HAPPY FEET Free Foot Care Program not to worry, we also have a Foot Care for Adults (Ages 18+) Program, Cost is $30.
