On Wednesday, September 14, the Tri-Cities Airport (TCA) will conduct an emergency airfield exercise that will test the TCA Emergency Plan along with plans of supporting agencies should a major aircraft accident occur at the TCA. Per Federal Aviation Administration regulations, the TCA is required to conduct a full scale emergency exercise every three years as part of the comprehensive Airport Emergency Plan.
The drill will also affect drivers around the airport with the closure of Road 36 during the exercise.
The drill will require closing Road 36 from Argent to Meadow Beauty Drive from 7:30am to 12:30pm. A detour will be provided on Road 44.
