1. How long is the permit review process?

• Residential Permit Applications have a 10 Business Day plan review process.
• Commercial Permit Applications have a 20 Business Day plan review process (regardless of the scope of work). 
• Commercial Projects that require Development Services review have a 30-business day plan review process.

The plan review process begins once the permit application and plans are accepted as a complete submittal and processed by City staff.

2. How do I get an electrical permit?

All electrical permitting is handled by the Washington State Department of Labor and Industries. You can apply online at: here.

3. How much will my permit cost?

Permit fees are based on the valuation of the project. Other fees may be applicable depending on the nature of the project.
